Artist's description:

Following on from "Still Sea Scene", this is the last bit of card of that size I had and the Manta Ray is busy flying about the place on a mad journey of self-discovery. It's colour keeps changing but it still has feathers for fins. I wanted to keep the "abstract" element of the background brushstrokes and the dribbling oil paint of the foreground seaweeds and sea trees as obvious items of artistic licence. Whether or not they are underwater or not I cannot say. The metamorphosis seems to be complete, almost...

The picture is too large for the scanner so there is a little bit of cropping on the righthand and lower sides.

Materials used:

Oil paint, aerosol paint
