Artist's description:

A large abstract painting. The inspiration for this painting came from an article I read about how structure formed from a hot dense gas in the early universe. As the gas cooled and clumped together gravity shaped it into stars, galaxies and us. This fascinates me. I wanted to capture the energy of the forces of nature at work as matter binds together and the void of empty space starts to appear as the universe expands.
One of my more recent paintings, one that I'm particularly proud of.
