Artist's description:

Painting: Acrylic and Paint on Canvas.

Size: 40 H x 65 W x 1 in

This is a mixed media painting of acrylics, pastels, charcoal and chalk.

Its a painting of the Grampians mountain range in Victoria, Australia, at sunset. I wanted to capture the tones and shapes in the cliff rock face.

The Grampian ranges are were formed over millions of years and were once part of an of an inland sea. The Grampians is still very sacred to the Aboriginal people of this part of Victoria.

I wanted to portray the emotion of the land through the use of colour and lines that form this ancient and sacred land.

Keywords: red, sunset, australia, Maountain, organge, grampians, hills, horizon, land, mountains
