This is an original textile piece creating using freehand machine embroidery techniques.
The piece is created by moving the fabric freely under the sewing machine needle to ‘draw’ the image in thread.
Ceres is the goddess of agriculture and was one of the focuses of my recent collection, Small Details.
The piece is stretched over a handmade wooden frame and backed in plain calico.
