Artist's description:

This was painted after a visit to Glastonbury on a stormy summer night earlier this year. The evening sky was very dramatic and the distinctive shapes of Glastonbury Tor and St Michael's Tower were bathed in sunlight and shadow. The Tor is known as "The Isle of Avalon" and is steeped in history and legend, with some people believing it to be the Avalon of Arthurian legend. It is certainly a magical and mysterious place and I hope this painting captures some of the drama and mystery. This artwork is painted on deep-edged canvas and therefore does not require a frame and is ready to hang. Thank you for looking.
