A bright bold study of two contrasting flowers, Gladioli and Rudbeckia. This is a painting put together from looking at the flowers growing in my garden. I have written a blog post about how this painting was created. please copy and paste the following link
This is a long tall painting that fits well in to many spaces in the home. The tall format compliments the shape of the flowers.
There is a lot of detail in the flowers, which is built up in many layers of dots and dabs of paint. This is set against a swirling blue background that creates patches of light and interest around the plants and leaves.
It is painted in acrylics, on good quality canvas. The sides are also painted with a dark grey ( almost black) which acts like a frame when viewed from the side.
Acrylic paint. Chromacolour, Pro colour and Golden paints. UV varnish added.
