GILDA - canvas 30x20 frame 46x36
I used a 1948 movie poster, with the stratospheric redhead Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford, applying it , in this case on a small format canvas, on which I intervened massively with enamel colors. The series includes 4 canvases measuring cm.30x20 each.
For these FIGURATIVE ASTRACT works in POP-ART style, with enamels in Action Painting and collages on canvas or multilayer in various formats. I combined abstract and figurative painting by inserting myself in one of the best known artistic currents in the history of contemporary art, namely Pop-Art , giving my own personal interpretation, with my own expressive language, in evasion towards a dreamlike dimension. Combining precisely Abstractionism with Pop, this painting regains a new meaning. Remaining , while always faithful , to both Pop-Art and Abstractionism, currents of which I have always been a passionate interpreter.
