Artist's description:

Titled "Ghost in the Machine" this organic abstract in chiaroscuro emerged with what looks like the cog of a wheel silhouetted against the organic horizon. It immediately brought to mind a ghostly image of the remnant of the mechanical age. The brush work is active and bold but not overwhelmingly so. It's a haunting but beautiful piece imho. Done solely in acrylics on canvas board. Can be framed or propped up on a mini-easel for display on a desk, cabinet or book case.

When I start an abstract painting most times I have no idea what it will be. I merely put down line either in charcoal or paint and then follow with colour application. The painting then shows me what it wants to be and then I help it come into being in our world. It's a magical experience.

Materials used:

canvas, pine stretcher bars, professional artist's acrylics, hanging wire, hanging hardware, varnish
