Artist's description:

Minimalist collage made of veneer wood leaf and Perspex sticks

If you are familiar with H. P. Lovecraft, you might have heard of a short story titled 'The Strange High House in the Mist" about a man is intrigued by a strange house on a cliff overlooking the ocean. There's only one door, which opens directly onto a sheer cliff, giving access only to mist and "the abyss". This artwork takes inspiration from this kind of atmosphere and it's about the eerie feeling caused by the things that can't see clearly.

Specifics: this artwork consists of multiple layers including veneer wood and vellum, pierced by Perspex sticks and mounted on coloured washi paper. Size (framed): 32x32x4.5

Materials used:

Veneer wood, Perspex sticks, vellum paper and washi paper
