Artist's description:

My hometown of Walker, Minnesota, is located on the shores of Leech Lake, which happens to be the 3rd largest lake in Minnesota. Erickson’s Landing is a popular spot for fisherman to launch their boats and has great views looking Eastward, out across the many bays and peninsulas famous for walleye fishing. It’s also a great spot for weather watching as many times storms roll in from the North before breaking loose over the lake. I was on my way home from work the day this storm rolled in. I saw the anvil cloud forming a couple of miles before the landing and took a few minutes to pull in and snap some photos. I didn’t dally however! It wasn’t long after I took my reference photos that the sky turned green and the wind started to pick up. I jumped back into my truck and high tailed it for home and safety. I barely made it inside before the hail started and my cabin shook with what was one of the biggest storms of that summer.
