Feelings of anger grip my heart.
anger against everything and everyone
anger against myself
anger against God
anger versus anger
my soul wriggles
and screams against the endless bars that surround her
and screams at the chains that hold her back
and screaming in spasmodic search
of a glimmer of light
of a ray of sunshine to cling to
to escape from the cage
to get rid of anger
to open oneself to forgiveness
to live free.

The work is made in oil on canvas with the spatula.
