In my series of sunrise paintings, here is one where the sky was bright and gorgeous, but the land was almost totally covered with frost. A very cold freezing morning to paint plein air.
All my sunrise paintings are done in a loose impressionistic style with bold strokes. The strokes are done with a good mix using the palette knife and big brushes. The sky looks this beautiful only for a few minutes each dawn and you better get working fast. :)
The colours in the painting are as accurate as possible, but they are way better in person. If you have any questions, write to me.
