Canadian Geese, in our area of New Jersey are often considered nuisance fowl, as they no longer see the need to migrate. It is said they ruin lakes and ponds. People hire dogs to chase them, put barriers around the ponds and shake the eggs to discourage them. But society keeps building, and our developments often include retention ponds, which look just like home to these birds. For me, it's hard to be angry at them. I can only see the beauty. In a way, they're just like us. Looking for a home to raise and support their children.
