Artist's description:

Frida Kahlo - one of Mexico's most revered artists. An original Punk Rock icon. Bisexual, rebel, feminist, on-off wife of Diego Rivera, lover of Leon Trotsky whose life was marred by the illness and pain she suffered which informed her extraordinarily brilliant self-portraits.

This piece is made up of a combination of natural and dyed veneers and it is set in a background of rippled sycamore with an inlaid brass banding.

This is part of a limited run of 10 pictures. Each one is numbered and varies slightly owing to the different species of veneers and colours used.

Materials used:

Wood veneer, brass inlay banding
