Free as the Wind. I have always been fascinated by horses. Horses seem to know more about us that we know about them. These noble animals are mysterious, intelligent and intuitive, full of grace and rebellious pride. Being a person intimately connected to horses, I paint them untethered, steeped in blissful primal spirits. The painting merges three visual paradigms: realism, fiction and expressionism. It creates a fascinating vibe of zooming through space.
Metaphorically, for me the horse represents a woman, an amazing paradox of power and vulnerability in a modern dynamic world.
I created this painting combining my favourite fluid acrylic abstract background and realistic image of powerful horse in oil in the foreground. It focuses our glance on the main subject and creates unique atmosphere at the same time.
