Original artwork description:

This is an original encaustic painting on a cradled birch panel. There are many flowing layers of blue in this translucent and fluid abstract waterscape including shimmering metallic aquamarine and opaline which create fractured imagery when subjected to high heat. Part of my series about the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, a place I've visited for inspiration for over 20 years.

Signed and dated on the back and wired for hanging. This painting has clean birch sides and does not need to be framed which is standard for contemporary encaustic.

This unique painting will be insured and professionally packed in a Strongbox and shipped within 2 business days from the date payment is received.
