Artist's description:

This painting was inspired by the foxgloves in a meadow behind the cottage I lived in. The cottage was located in a forest just outside Cardiff. It was a very special place and I would spend hours wondering through the trees. On one of my first walks I found the meadow and lost my self in the shapes of the foxglove. After spending a few hours making sketch studies I returned to the cottage to have a cup of tea and paint. I wanted to capture the flower close up, as if I was one of the bees I watched entering this beautiful flower.
