This is an original painting of the Cornish harbour town of Fowey. I built up the surface of the canvas with interesting textures and abstract shapes, before deciding on a subject that would complement it, trying to incorporate the lines and textures of the surface into the composition.
It is painted on deep profile canvas. It is protected with a high quality varnish.
