This week the spring has burst across the moor, blue sky's and a cold wind. The haze and lack of spring growth somehow making it seem that the poor tired land is washed out in comparison to the brand new blue above it.
I have used acrylic paint for the sky and to highlight the clouds, whilst the land is light watercolour. The pencil marks add depth without the landscape competing with the sky.
This painting is sold unframed so you can decide if you want it framed with or without the rough edges of the sky visible. (I like the edges visible but it's a matter of personal taste, so do as you like!)
Acrylic paint, watercolour paint, pencil.
