I drew this picture to represent the transitory nature of the boats on a beach. Sometimes they decay and leave skeletal remains, unburied and abandoned by owners who have either died or just moved away. There is a certain poignancy when the tide rolls to reveal these ghosts, when the winter light gives a pallor to this elephants' graveyard.
