This painting is inspired by a walk along the beach at Rye Harbour in East Sussex.
The tide had retreated leaving natural lagoons and pools and the wet sand glistened in the bright sunshine. Old weathered groynes stood like beautiful sculptures created by nature.
I had intended to walk to the sea but the tide was so far out that I thought it would take forever to get there! "Forever to the sea" seemed like a perfect title .
NB. The painting has flecks of metallic paint that gently catch the light on the edges of the sand.
