acrylic paint on acid free paper
This is a painting I created using the colours I saw on my forest walk in early August 2015. I attempted to replicate, using paint on paper, the energy of the forest that day.
This artwork has quite a bit of texture and quite a few layers of paint. You can see in the photographs that there is a small portion on the left hand side of the painting where I peeled away a layer of paint and then painted over top of it, to replicate the decay and regrowth that is abundant in the forest.
The artwork is initialled on the bottom right corner in green ink. My initials are very subtle, almost hard to see, so that this artwork may be hung vertical or horizontal.
This artwork is varnished with a satin finish varnish to protect it from UV rays, dust and fingerprints.
To give you an idea of how the painting may look framed, I've included photographs of the artwork in a 2 3/4 inch frame without glass and a white float mount frame.
This artwork is sold unframed.
A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be provided with the artwork.
