To me the message is clear: The now resurrected Christ is holding out His nail pierced hand, that holds one of the nails that crucified Him; the gesture signifies the gift that He offers us.
The gift of salvation; Jesus Christ our substitute gave himself on the cross as our substitute when He died for our transgressions.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God not as the result of works least any man should boast. Where is boasting - there is none, and the only thing that keeps us from eternal life with God is rejecting His free gift!
This artwork was originally sculpted in oil based clay, then a mold was made and it was cast in a plaster-based resin composite. The textured background was created using decomposing plywood. Just like the plywood, in our natural state we all are destined for corruption. John 3:1-17 tells us that we must be born again. That is our spirit must receive new life from the Holy Spirit which is what happens when we believe in The LORD Jesus Christ.
This art piece has a molded signature on the front and is signed on the back. It comes ready to hang.
