I love to paint birds, and especially flying birds. With this one I tried to capture the feeling of speed and movement through the air, and I also gave it some attitude as the bird looks at the viewer as it flies by.
The bird is rendered by palette knife, giving texture to the feathers, and the background sky by brush.
