Artist's description:

One of a series of invented flower paintings. I begin by applying chosen colours in ways that please me and develop the subject in layers and stages, adding and subtracting, often using glazes and sometimes collage, until I am satisfied with the result. Acrylic paint is excellent for working in this way.

In this process I may have twenty or more paintings in progress. I have them pinned on the wall where I can see, access and consider what I might do next.

This painting is framed in a double mount (conservation quality) with a moisture resistant backing board. The painting is ready to be put into a frame with glass.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint on watercolour paper and mounted with conservation board.
