Title: Florence Winter
Medium: Hand pulled 9 x 7.5 inch Trace Monotype with Colored Pencil
Support: Arches Cover Printmaking paper
Process: This monotype was made by rolling ink on a smooth surface, and then laying printmaking paper on top of the wet ink, and drawing on the paper. The pressure of my pencil pushed the paper into the wet ink creates a textured ink line, or trace monotype. (see photos in this listing). After the ink was dry on the monotype, I added colored pencil.
Edition: This is an edition of 1 (one).
Frame: The art is offered here unframed, but if you'd like it to be professionally matted & framed, be in touch for an estimate.
Story: The image was based on a mash up of two photos; a room interior sent to me from a friend showing her house on a wintery day in New England, and a photo my husband took of me relaxing in a chair with a book. I inserted myself in my friend's house, like magic! :) The entire process is outlined in a video tutorial on my youtube channel: https://youtu.be/vSBkHBQt7rU
