Artist's description:

Gulls and summer visitors have much in common. Both groups can be noisy and messy. They are also prone to feeding frenzies, the gulls when fish wrappers abound, and visitors when the sun comes out. There is not much point moaning about either group as they will always arrive in numbers throughout the year. The town in this image is imagined, but is an impression of Shoreham combining several of its features.
