This is an alla-prima painting that shows a freshly picked peach with leaves still attached. To convey the juicy fresh quality of a newly picked peach, I used the alla-prima technique of painting only whilst the paint is still wet, this allows the vibrant colours of the fresh peach to captured at the soonest possible moment.
