The Roaring Twenties is one of my favorite periods. I love the creative cultural exuberance, exciting social dynamics, the art and entertainment scene, the music, the fashion, the frivolous excesses, the vibes of danger and excitement of defying rules, breaking standards and discovering new freedoms of that bygone Great Gatsby era, blissfully binging on life. Of course, as always after binging came the sobering "next morning"... but that's another story.
So, my Flapper Girls is one of the illustration of the above. The series consists of four marker on paper drawings of big-eyed girls in hats and accessories styled in the 20s fashion (Flapper Girls 1-3 are head/ bust portraits, while Flapper Girl 4 depicts young woman full-length, sitting on a floor, smoking). The girls are static, motionless and silent, but there's something in their eyes that hints at some mystery and excitement.
The artwork must be framed and protected by glass in order to display the on a wall. Also, they should be kept away from direct sun/ light to avoid color fading. The drawings are currently framed (as shown in the full-front framed images), however, frames are optional and the size and packaging specifics below reflect the unframed artwork.
Each drawing comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is signed (signature and initials, or just initialed) in front by the artist (me).
Please, contact the me if interested in purchasing.
In case the drawings be purchased as series (which is my preference) the price will be discounted to $1200 (for all).
Shipping and handling cost can be obtained at that time via inquiry.
The packaging and therefore, the shipping and handling cost will depend on whether the artwork is sold framed or unframed. In case it's framed, it'll be shipped in a cardboard box or boxes (to be determined) and cost will be calculated at the time, depending on shipping destination. If it's purchased unframed, it'll be shipped in an envelope and the shipping will be FREE.
