Artist's description:

10" x 8" unframed oils on canvas.Miniature.

I have always had a love of the Poppies and today decided to play around on these blessed small canvases to be rid of them :)
After the heat of the Indian summer we have experienced lately, today is dreary dismal and very wet so a painting was called for.
Using a palette knife I daubed on the dark canvas the vivid red wild flowers that mean so much to the many who see the humble Poppy as a remembrance of the World Wars.
From childhood I recall always attending Remembrance Sunday with my parents and Family and even today I always shed a tear for the fallen heroes who gave us "Freedom".
We will Remember Them. x
