Artist's description:

A universal symbol of immortality: death and rebirth in the fire. The legend says that when the Phoenix feels death approaching, it builds a nest of fragrant wood and resins, which then substitutes the scorching rays of the sun until you burn to the ground in flames. Then from its remains a new Phoenix. Being a “fiery bird”, he means the divinity of Royal power, nobility and uniqueness, as well as meekness. In all traditions the Phoenix stands as a symbol of the sun. We can draw an analogy between the Phoenix and other fantastic bird Benu, the Garuda of the Hindus, the simurgh in Iranian mythology, Cerkes in the Turkish tradition. Phoenix, “liberated” a symbol of human rebirth.
