Artist's description:

This bold abstract acrylic painting has beautiful shades of red that seem to float around metallic golds, yellows and oranges. The many thin layers really draw the eye deep into this piece.

Living in New Orleans, we are surrounded by water and bayous. This piece was inspired after a recent storm that left the sky full of reds and orange hues that made it appear as if fire was rising up from Bayou St. John and coloring the sky.

It is on a sturdy birch panel with a 2.5" deep pine cradle. The edges are finished in a gloss black so there is no need to frame this piece.

If you want a very modern, powerful piece of artwork, take a good look at this one - it's very bold when viewed in person.
