Artist's description:

This somewhat surrealistic looking photo is actually a very realistic photo of a reflection on the water of the Chena River in Fairbanks, Alaska. It's in mid-winter when the temperature was about 15 deg. below zero F, but the river remains unfrozen all winter because of warm water discharge from an electrical power plant. The "woven gold" is the sun on snow covered shrubs at the river's edge. I like to print almost all of my photos on bright white watercolor paper which makes very vivid colors and the texture gives a "painterly" quality to them.

Materials used:

Giclee print on bright white textured watercolor paper.
