Buying this picture you just get a work of art, you become a part of history.
The artwork has fasteners on the back side and is ready for you to hang it on the wall without difficulty, but it also looks good as a floor painting. You decide.
The work "Imprint" is the key work of the series of the same name and was created in 2019.
The work was first exhibited in 2020 at the artist's personal exhibition in Moscow.
In 2022, the painting participated in the joint exhibition "NFT Acceptance Stage" in Moscow.
"Imprint" is the path to the spiritual Self. In the center is the symbol of the heart - what we are looking for in ourselves and trying to understand and love. The lines of the imprint around it look like rings on a cut of a tree, the sheath we use to protect our core from the outside world. And only after going through them one by one, we come to self-knowledge and acceptance of selfishness.
The work consists of more than 4,000 keys from keyboards that store the history of previous owners' touches.
Each key was pressed hundreds of thousands of times, forming the words, sentences, thoughts, feelings and history of its owners, bankers, managers, programmers, politicians and others. These people changed the destinies and lives of other people, forever leaving their imprint in their history.
Short love messages in Russian and English are encoded in the mosaic as a tribute to the millions of fingers that once touched these keyboards and preserved the history of the previous owners.
