Artist's description:

Find Your Way Out is inspired by the words and music of Paul Weller's "Wild Wood". "Getting to where you should be going" can mean going through periods where it seems we're faced with one struggle after another; where we feel, (in spite of our best efforts), we're failing on all fronts. Self doubt and self recrimination are powerful emotions that undermine self belief. For me, this painting represents the struggle that compromises our ability to fulfil our potential and realise our dreams. The message here is about the need to keep going, to work your way through the struggles, and come out the other side, wiser and kinder, (to ourselves first and foremost). The colour in this painting is about the joy we experience when we get to the other side.

The painting is high pigment, heavy acrylics. The canvas is hand made and is top grade 380 grams pure cotton. Painting edges are blackened and the piece is ready to hang. Vanished for protection.

This is part of my 2017 collection which consists of over sixty paintings which were created over an eight month period.

Materials used:

Heavy body , high pigment acrylic paints on high quality canvas.
