Finch Park 2 ~ A truly original (1/1) photograph
In Finch Park Lexington, NC a tree on a rainy Autumn day. The tree seeming to grasp the ground covered in fresh fallen leaves is what captured my attention to this scene. A bit of rear standard tilt and fairly shallow depth-of-field captured the abundant natural lines and textures I was looking for. There is allot to see in this image of a grasping tree living out its existence in a city park.
A black and white 5x7 direct positive fiber base print. This image is the actual photographic paper used in the photographers Kodak 2-D 5x7 camera at time of exposure. The image appears reversed from how one would perceive the actual scene because the camera lens casts an inverted image onto the photographic paper.
The paper is a direct positive photographic fibre base paper which has been carefully processed, washed and treated with selenium toner in the photographer darkroom.
The print has been dry mounted using bright white 8x10 archival matboard. The signed and dated top mat is dry mounted as well making this a solid piece and it is ready to hang. The wood frame is black and has Anti reflective Water White ArtGlass. The size of the finished piece with frame is approximately 9.5x11.5x.75
