A small greenfinch perches on a branch of ivy, ready to peck at the berries on the stem.
This is a three block linocut using firstly a yellow and orange rainbow roll, followed by a pale blue colour and finally the block containing the bird and ivy details is added using a mix of brown and violet. This last block is individually inked up which may give rise to slight differences each time, making it a variable print.
Materials used:
Lino printed on Japanese Similie paper using water washable inks
