I love flowers, especially, the simplier kind that grow freely in the fields, around country cottages and fences or on flowerbeds in english gardens. I enjoyed painting flowers since my childhood. This painting is yet one more artwork that reflects my love of flowers in general and of marigolds and cornflowers, in particular. It belongs to a series of 3 floral paintings, done in watercolors and ink on stretched canvas (instead of usual paper surface). I just wanted to try this combination and I was pleased with the results. It's bright and cheerful, yet very delicate and introspective.
The painting signed (initialed) on a front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Painting is shipped unframed. Sides of the painting are finished (painted black). Framing with a glass is strongly recommended.
