Artist's description:

Signed limited edition of 10 with certificate of authenticity.

The finished piece is meticulously proofed and printed on Moab Estrada Museum Rag, using archival pigment inks rated to last for 100 years or more.

I take about ten billion photos a year using everything from a 4 x 5 to my iPhone (all photography in the art is original). Painting is done both on canvas (then scanned) and using digital brushes. Textures are worked in (cracked walls, a leather chair, old machinery) and at days end, I figure out what I'm trying to say. Sometimes..

I found an old mining camp museum in Winthrop, WA. This was a wheel used in a conveyor belt type thing. The landscape s the great Palouse, WA Shot with a Calumet 4 x 5 camera on type 55 Polaroid reversal film. I dunno - the landscape shot made me feel like I wanted to be expansive - hence the filed of green paint.
