Original artwork description:

I have been creating sculptural reliefs for several years. I use mathematics and a random algorithm to place and orient the elements. This piece is based on a Fibonacci series and has an interesting spiral form. This kind of pattern is often found in nature, the seeds of a sunflower head for example. The random algorithm employed in the creation of this work ensures a unique structure which interacts with the light falling on it in a very special way.
The composition is very optically active, reflecting or transmitting light and casting shadows around the elements. It responds to changing light during the day so that it looks different every time you look at it.

Materials used:

Polished aluminium and acrylic pieces
