This cyanotype was made using an old photographic process. The plant materials were laid out onto hot pressed watercolour paper, which had previously been painted with a photo-sensitive paint. It was then exposed to ultraviolet light for a period of time, after which the material is brushed aside and the paper developed and fixed. As it uses the actual plant and not a negative the same picture cannot be repeated, making it unique.
