Artist's description:

Living near the coast means the sea and the beach is a constant and rich source of inspiration. I'm particularly drawn to the form and textures of the pebbles and especially the resulting forms and textures created by the power of the elements over time on manmade structures and objects. This painting depicts the washed wood sculpted by the waves and the corroding rusty metal alongside the tangled, worn and tattered garland of fishermen's ropes creating a framed view of the beach and sea beyond.

Materials used:

acrylic paint and brush
