  Artist's description:

  This torso is done on ESSDEE Scraperboard. Scratchboard or scraperboard is a technique where a cardboard or a panel coated with white china clay and overprinted with black india ink is used. In this black surface the artist scratches fine lines or dots with sharp needles, surgical knives or other sharp tools. The drawing will be seen white on black background.
