Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Bold and expressive painting created during a project on 'Mental Illness'; although not a typically nice topic, this piece is showing the strength people have through dealing with their past issues. Fear is one of the main feelings felt as you become scared to change your ways and scared to live and quite often scared of your past which keeps repeating itself.
This piece is expressing a life experience which is personal to me and many millions of others in the world. My passion is to create work that brings hidden worldly issues out of the dark and into the light.
I used Water colour and Ink and finally Pen for the writing. I built up layers of paint to bring out the figure and maintain the abstract freedom it holds. I created this piece from a photo I took; I transformed the photo into an abstract impression mixed with a powerful sense of reality. I used my personal style of dripping the inks down the page in a carefree expressive way. The eyes show a fear but also a strength as the body turns to face the past.

This bold painting fills a space with beauty and strength, it needs nothing around it to make a wall space full of colour and expression. It will have your visitors asking about its powerful meaning. Or maybe positioned in a personal space just for you, it will create a strong and positive reminder each day of your strength as a person. Everyone needs fear in their lives to create their lasting strength.
