Bronze sculpture
Romantic sitting figurines
Size: Size: 4.2 and 3"
Stone: Travertine or Texas Shellstone
Available in traditional bronze patina

The bronze figurines are loose and not attached, they can be moved around, played with or be permanently mounted on a pedestal or stone base. They are one of a kind assemblies of my little people.
Please send a quick note if you want a little girl or boy, I have 3 girls and 3 boys to choose from (Small ' toddler size", medium, large) Also indicate if you want them loosely sitting or permanently mounted on a base. All stone bases are unique. I have rustic or smooth travertine with crystal enclosures or Texas shell stone with fossilized shell imprints. All these would be custom orders.
I will send you an image if you like otherwise it is going to be similar to the picture.
If we decide on the number of children the price varies. I will create a separate listing for you.

The little bronze people can be placed nicely and neat on the shelf, mantle, windowsill, or on a found rock too.

This example has mom and dad, a boy and in the subsequent pictures a little girl. If you need a different family structure please let me know. I can add a small person for you or exchange, mix and match to fit your family. If you want to get more creative I have two small birds to choose from and a few cats too;)

!!!!! NOTE:
Please, before you enquire for a custom order and contact me, be aware that it takes me considerable time to create a custom lineup and take images for you and communicate. You need to be fairly certain that you want to commission a custom family. Sometimes I have all the little figures at hand other times I need to prepare them from scratch to even show you.

>>>>>>>>>Description of creation and casting process for my larger work.<<<<<<<<<<<

Creating an original bronze sculpture is quite involved and labor intensive. I start out modeling the original either in clay or another sculpting material from wax to wood. I sculpt with the human emotion and connectedness in mind. All of my little couples and families should convey that bond. Upon completion a silicone rubber mold is created from the original. Then liquid hot wax is poured into to mold. When it's hardened if can easily be released. The unfinished wax copies are carefully reworked with sculpting tools. Once the waxes are to my satisfaction, I send them to the foundry. They attach the spruces, dip them into a ceramic mixture until a shell of about an inch has built up. Then they are adding the waxes in their shell to the kiln. The wax is molten out and the negative is retained in the ceramic shell mold. Thereafter the liquid bronze ( it's super hot) is poured into this second mold. After a cooling time the shell is destroyed.
The cleanup takes a while and the shell is destroyed with power tools and the rough bronze is sandblasted. The spruces are roughly cut with a plasma cutter. Then I receive the raw bronze back for finishing. Some welding might be necessary, metal cutting and chasing and sanding. After the raw bronze is once more sandblasted and carefully cleaned the patina is applied either with heat or cold. The application takes a while to oxidize. Sometimes it takes a few days to get the desired result. Then parts are highlighted by polishing and a protective coating is sprayed on as a last finishing stage.

Bronze, natural stone
