Somebody once said a piece of art is part of an Artist’s life, and I agree with it.
I painted this artwork during a long flight from Hong Kong to Melbourne, missing my beloved cat while I was away visiting family.
I have the same affirmation from my previous small artwork series – Family by Choice for this particular piece. We adopted Cadbury from RSPCA many years ago, she was skinny and tiny back then. We shower her love every day, over time she has become the anchor of my life, Cadbury is my family by choice with no doubt.
Affirmation:
A friend is a family by choice.
Partner is family by choice.
Pet is family by choice.
And you, my dear, are my family by choice.
