Artist's description:

A torso made of pieces of whie marble with a cement backing and mounted on a wooden board. This piece is wall mounted but could be adapted to be free standing. It is part of a series of torsos I have been making over the years with the idea of playing with materials This piece is one of a series playing with materials to see what difference it makes to the same sculpture when the textures and colours change.
This white marble is from the region where I live in Spain and reflects the light with a very subtle sparkle.
I love to make pieces which look like they have been drawn with pencil, chalk or charcole despite being 3D.

Materials used:

stone and tile cement

Sketching long hand (2017)
