Heavily inspired by my love of Tchaikovsky’s ballets in the New York in the wintertime, and the delicate snowdrop flower (which reminds me of ballet dancers), Fairytale Ballet was born. Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker…I love them all. NY in the winter, with the snow falling ever so gracefully, is truly a fairytale come to life. There’s a version of the song Fairytale of New York (which isn’t exactly very romantic) performed by pianist Alexis Ffrench that was also the catalyst for this collection, and it’s dreamy, soft winter color story. A small, but oh so romantically feminine collection. Perfect for a February release.

4×4 in size, and created with a combination of my painted papers, and found papers that coordinate with the soft, wintry color story of this collection. This small body of work was inspired by my grid journal work over the last several months. The layering of various papers combined with a bit of mark making wound up creating these intimate compositions upon which I greatly enjoyed working. Complementary 8×8 mat included. Signed, numbered and dated on the back. A certificate of authenticity is also included.
