Artist's description:

In creating this digital illustration I wanted to put a human face on how I see the current state of our world and the turmoil that is taking place that will eventually lead to our ultimate demise and the deterioration of mankind.

The world is fragmented and falling to pieces and War, Religion, Ideology (or Religious Ideology) Global Warming/Environmental Mismanagement, Discrimination based on Race, Colour, Creed will be our downfall if we do not find common ground on which to agree.

Live and let live.

The world has and always will have those who wish to destroy all that is good about democracy. They have and will continue to use religious fanaticism to bring terror to the masses.

Eye have seen better days and I am sure to see better days ahead, with hope for a better tomorrow.

This is not a political statement as much as it is a visual interpretation and a way to express my feeling. The eye does not shed a tear, yet there is tear welling in it. Perhaps there is anger and determination and that will not allow a tear to be shed as if not to indicate weakness. Perhaps we need to be brought to our knees and in the depths of despair we find the strength to fight for our world to be a better place and at peace, or let the pieces fall where they may.

EYE HAVE SEEN BETTER DAYS is offered here as a 45.72x30.48 cm (18x12 inch) image but I am happy to provide quotes for larger sizes.

The image is printed on pro luster, archival quality paper.

Materials used:

Wacom Tablet, Photoshop CC 2015, Archival Quality Paper
