Artist's description:

"We all expect ourselves to be better than we are; we expect our value and our uniqueness to be higher than they are; I had a discussion with a friend of mine about her inability to be happy because of her high expectations on herself; this painting demonstrates how easily we can imprison our growth in a jail of expectations."

I'm not a professional painter, painting is my hobby. I'm a CEO and a founder of a tech company that is creating an artificial intelligence software for managing people. I'm also a regular blogger () and an author of a few books about software development ().

My mission here is to collect funds for a non-profit initiative for young programmers: a competition with a cash prize I organize once a year. They submit their software projects to me, I review them, and award $4096 to the best one (or a few of them). Every dollar you pay me for the paintings will be spent on that competition. Here is more information about it: Your name, if you wish, will be on the web page and programmers will know who helped me collect the money.
